Andrew Lee is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) 200 with the Yoga Alliance. Andrew teaches hatha/vinyasa and specializes in power yoga, chair (esp. for seniors and people with developmental disabilities), restorative, partner yoga, meditation and more. During his teacher training program, he gained experience teaching people with disabilities as well. This experience taught Andrew anyone can do yoga regardless of ability, age or skill level. He strongly believes yoga can improve a person’s general wellbeing. Currently, Andrew is in the process of developing his own style of power yoga, called Keung Lui Gung, which fuses vinyasa and martial arts.
Besides teaching yoga, Andrew Lee is also a Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) martial arts instructor in Shorin Ryu Karate-Do and a Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) in Okinawan Kobudo. He earned both ranks at Bob Herten’s Family Karate Academy (Totowa, New Jersey). As a former Martial Arts Director at Spa 23 Lifestyle & Fitness (Pompton Plains, New Jersey), Sensei Andrew taught students, of all ages, practical self-defense techniques through his anti-bullying and Women’s Self-Defense programs. He also volunteered his time to teach youth and teens at Immortal Dragon Martial Arts (Lincoln Park, New Jersey). Sensei Andrew’s traditional and pragmatic approach to martial arts is the basis of his teachings.
