My first yoga teacher, who was also a naturopathic doctor, always said our sedentary culture would cause major stiffness in different areas of the body. If you’re someone who spends the majority of your day sitting at work, you know the uncomfortable feeling of tight hips accompanied by restlessness.

😛 Did you know strongly exhaling, while sticking out your tongue, actually has health benefits? In pranayama (yogic breathing), the technique known as Lion’s Breath (in this case Snake’s Breath during Keung Lui Gung’s Fighting Snake) draws moist air from the lungs to alleviate a dry throat and mouth. It also relaxes the face and neck muscles for speaking and concentration.
